Aims of HALGN
HALGN members evaluate, develop and implement housing policies and programs to meet the needs of current and future households. HALGN seeks to:
- Disseminate information, including housing research
- Promote training and development opportunities
- Analyse housing issues and trends affecting our communities
- Host forums
- Coordinate housing policy development and planning between councils & state government
- Promote and maintain accessible and affordable housing options; and
- Identify and promote best practice examples of local government housing initiatives.
