Aims of HALGN

HALGN members evaluate, develop and implement housing policies and programs to meet the needs of current and future households. HALGN seeks to:

• Disseminate information, including housing research
• Promote training and development opportunities
• Analyse housing issues and trends affecting our communities
• Host forums
• Coordinate housing policy development and planning between councils & state government
• Promote and maintain accessible and affordable housing options; and
• Identify and promote best practice examples of local government housing initiatives.
