About our Community Sector Training

2010 is an important election year at a state and federal government level. The Empowering the Community Sector Series is designed to give women in senior levels of the community sector essential skills, insight and tips on how to impact the political process as they advocate for their organisation’s key issues to be placed on the election policy agenda.

Who Should Attend?

Managing the Media

Date: Monday 22 March 2010
Time: 9-11am

Whether you are Manager or the CEO, understanding how you can take charge of your media message is fundamental to running a successful campaign. This session will provide you with everything you need to use the media to influence people and outcomes.

Introduction to Lobbying

Date: Monday 19 April 2010
Time: 9-11am

In this session you will receive an overview of how to most effectively and strategically  interact with Members of Parliament, Ministers and Government.

Advanced Lobbying – Lobbying Labor

Date: Monday 10 May 2010
Time: 9-11am

In this session you will learn about formal and informal opportunities for influencing the policy process within the ALP MP’s and candidates.
