    The Victorian Human Rights and Responsibilities Charter collates and expresses our civil and political rights in a clear commonsense way that can be understood by all citizens. Read More

    The VLGA lobbies strongly to protect the autonomy of local governments and ensure local citizens are involved in the process of land-use planning decisions. Read More
  • Responsible Gambling
    The negative impacts of gambling have become a great concern for local governments. The VLGA's work in this area aims to develop and share knowledge on how to implement responsible gambling policies across local communities. Read More
  • Timor-Leste
    The VLGA has been directly involved in supporting Timor-Leste since 1999 with the aim of developing friendship, support and cross-cultural understanding at a grass-roots level between the people of Timor-Leste and the people of Australia through local governments and their communities.  Read More
