Affordable Housing

Heading
The VLGA has been committed to raising the profile of housing affordability in the local government sector and is focusing on the need for a connected approach across the community.

Affordable Housing survey results with recommendations

In response to feedback from VLGA members, the Diverse and Affordable Housing Advisory Group conducted an on-line survey in 2010 to get data on opinions, challenges and strategies facing Victorian local governments in the housing debate.  The survey is the first to be undertaken in Victoria since 1998.  A full copy of the Future VLGA and Local Government Approach – Diverse and Affordable Housing report can be found via the VLGA media release here.
