The upcoming State Election presents a unique opportunity for all major political parties to articulate how they will support local governments and communities deal with change, according to the Victorian Local Governance Association (VLGA).

“Our members tell us they feel overwhelmed by change, and that successive State Governments over decades have failed to explain why change occurs, where it comes from and how it is proposed to be managed”, the VLGA’s President Cr Heinz Kreutz said today.
