    Attached file 1: In June the State Parliament passed the Local Government Amendment (Elections) Bill 2008. A plain-english summary of the Bill is attached here. Attached file 2: This legislation responded to many of the issues raised in the VLGA's Caretaker Issues Paper, attached here.
    Attached file 3: Another issue canvassed by the VLGA has been confusion about what can and can't be done in the shortened Caretaker Period. in response to this, Local Government Victoria has issued a Practice Note, attached here
