The strategy calls for greater attention to planning for bicycles, recognising the relatively high levels of bicycle ownership and the significant advantages of increased cycling, both personal (mobility, health, cost, reduced car dependence) and societal (efficient, reduced pollution, noise, congestion, parking need). Australia Cycling details objectives, targets, strategies, responsibilities and performance measures for Australian governments with the objectives embracing coordination, integration, facilities, safety, information and education.
