 The legitimacy of local governments derives from their central role of representing the interests of their communities. The VLGA has long campaigned for the right of local governments to be recognised as the legitimate "first level" of government.
We have also worked hard to support local governments in their efforts to provide the best possible representation and leadership to all sections of their communities.
