What is HALGN?


 HALGN is a professional interest group of local government officers, Councillors
 and their associates. HALGN members evaluate, develop and implement housing
 policies and programs to meet the needs of current and future households.

Terms of reference


 HALGN seeks to:

  • Disseminate information, including housing research;

    •
  • Promote training and development opportunities;

    •
  • Analyze housing issues and trends affecting our communities;

    •
  • Host forums;

    •
  • Coordinate housing policy development and planning between councils & State Government;

    •
  • Promote and maintain accessible nd affordable housing options; and

    •
  • Identify and promote best practice examples of local government housing initiatives.
