Please join the VLGA and forum partners Pitcher Partners for our Leading the Agenda in July:

Optimising Our Planning System

Presented by the VLGA and Leading the Agenda partner Pitcher Partners, the discussion will focus on the strengths and limitations of our current planning system and explore whether councils are serving their communities’ interests as the designated “responsible authority” under the Planning and Environment Act. The panel may also consider the impact on councils and developers of recent amendments to the Act, such as those relating to affordable housing; and what improvements can be made to the current planning system.

Moderated by Martine Letts, Chief Executive Officer, Committee for Melbourne the panel includes:

.  Tania Quick, Consultant Planner, TQ Urban Planning
.  Sue Wilkinson, Chief Executive Officer, City of Darebin

.  Andrew Butt, Associate Professor in Sustainability and Urban Planning, RMIT

A light lunch will be provided
