LWLC ONLINE: Local Government 101

Free workshop for women considering running for local government. Interactive online workshop hosted on Zoom.

What do councils do? What is the role of a councillor? How do I become a candidate and how do I get elected?

If you have ever asked yourself these questions, or if you need to know more before you take the leap and decide to run, this free and informative workshop is for you. Women across the state - just like you - have a significant contribution to make to public life. Your connections to community, your skills and your unique perspective mean you are rich with potential to be a great local councillor.

Please note these are small group workshops (maximum 10 participants). If this one is full, please email deborah@vlga.org.au to be placed on the waitlist, or register for another time/date.

All materials, including video and discussion prompts can be found here.

You must have a computer with a working internet connection to participate. Detailed instructions on connecting to the workshop, including Zoom meeting details will be provided a week in advance
