Barwon - Local Government 101

Hosted by City of Greater Geelong/WILD (Women in Local Democracy)

This workshop is open to all women from the Barwon region (City of Greater Geelong, Colac Otway Shire Council, Borough of Queenscliffe, Surf Coast Shire Council).

What do councils do? What is the role of a councillor? How do I become a candidate and how do I get elected?

If you have ever asked yourself these questions, or if you need to know more before you take the leap and decide to run, this free and informative workshop is for you. Women across the state - just like you - have a significant contribution to make to public life. Your connections to community, your skills and your unique perspective mean you are rich with potential to be a great local councillor.

This event is hosted by the City of Greater Geelong and WILD (Women in Local Democracy). Numbers are limited and priority will be given to women from Geelong.
