As we settle into the 2020-2024 council term, I am pleased to advise that the VLGA Connect series continues to provide weekly Newsroom and Governance Update episodes.

I have enjoyed tuning into the updates, keeping all of us in touch with issues facing the local government sector and hearing from subject matter experts and Victorian leaders.

This week, Chris Eddy (Interim CEO, LGPro Vic) and Steve Cooper (Chief of Staff, VLGA) are wearing ties for only the second time in 2020, as they cover the Victorian State Budget and its implications for local government.

Hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.

VLGA

The VLGA is an independent governance organisation supporting councils and councillors. We provide opportunities for councillor networking, professional development and information exchange and we actively engage with key policymakers and broader stakeholders to inform, influence and lead the conversations that determine the priorities for the local government sector in Victoria and support good governance at the local level.

The VLGA Acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Victoria and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners, their elders past present and future, and to their cultures
