The Independent Broad-Based Anti-Corruption Commission Special Report: Operation Sandon into conduct at Casey City Council proposed a recommendation to adopt independent panels as the decision makers for statutory planning matters.

In this webinar, we will discuss the independent planning panel model, the potential effects on Victorian councils and how the system works in practice.

Hosts Chris Eddy and Kathryn Arndt will be joined by:

  • John Brockhoff, National Policy Director, Planning Institute of Australia
  • Dr Stephen Rowley, Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Monash Urban Planning and Design
