This workshop is open to all women from the Gippsland region (Bass Coast Shire Council, East Gippsland Shire Council, Latrobe City Council, South Gippsland Shire Council and Wellington Shire Council).

What do councils do? What is the role of a councillor? How do I become a candidate and how do I get elected?

If you have ever asked yourself these questions, or if you need to know more before you take the leap and decide to run, this free and informative workshop is for you. Women across the state - just like you - have a significant contribution to make to public life. Your connections to community, your skills and your unique perspective mean you are rich with potential to be a great local councillor.

Please note that there will be opportunities for networking at the conclusion of this event.
