Today marks the beginning of Gambling Harm Awareness Week. The theme for 2021 is TALK.SHARE.SUPPORT.
Gambling Harm Awareness Week is an opportunity to engage with your local community about why gambling harm matters. The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation has provided a range of resources to support this that are available here.
The 2021 campaign focus is on neuroscientific research to explain how the brain changes and responds to gambling, and how an addiction can develop.
We encourage councils to share the digital content throughout the week to encourage your communities to TALK.SHARE.SUPPORT.

The VLGA acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Victoria and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners, their elders past, present and future, and to their cultures.
