Cr Josh Fergeus

Josh Fergeus has served as a Councillor for Monash City Council since 2016 and elected VLGA Board member and GRC member in July 2021.  He was elected VLGA Vice President in June 2023.

He also sits on the Mental Health Tribunal, the Suitability Panel, and the Boards of Robinvale District Health Services, the Interim Regional Body for Mental Health (SE Metro), and the Eastern Alliance for Greenhouse Action Executive Committee.

Josh holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne as well as a Master's Degree in Social Work, and Bachelor's Degrees in Arts and Teaching.  His doctoral research focused on the critical role of foster and kinship carers in promoting positive mental health outcomes for children and young people in care.
